Millikin Advances in CCIW Tournament

The Millikin softball team stayed alive at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Softball Tournament with an 8-0 six inning win over North Central College on May 10 in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
The Big Blue will play again at 6 p.m. on Friday against the loser of the Illinois Wesleyan University vs. Augustana College game.
 
Millikin's win fueled by a no-hitter from senior pitcher Charly Warlow. Warlow walked four and struck out two in the shutout victory.
 
Millikin got a first inning home run from senior Leah Forman to take an earlier 1-0 lead. The Big Blue added to its lead with a two-run single from Maddy Regan in the fifth inning.
 
Millikin broke open the game with scoring five runs in the sixth inning. Anna Enlow drove in the first run with an RBI triple.  Rylee Blake's singled to left to score Enlow and make it a 5-0 Big Blue advantage. Regan drew a bases loaded walk to drive in a run to increase the lead to sixth. The final two runs of the inning scored after a North Central error.
 
Freshman Charley Condill had two hits for the Big Blue.
 
Millikin is now 23-16.
