The Big Blue softball team took the field at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, Ill. for Championship Saturday on May 11, 2024, coming out of the elimination bracket for a rematch with top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan. 

After falling to the Titans 0-6 on Thursday, the Big Blue defeated third seeded North Central in an 8-0 contest then downed second seeded Augustana 4-3 despite two Nadia Raineri home runs to stay alive heading into Saturday. 

Illinois Wesleyan scratched across a run in the top of the fourth on a Bailey Turner single that scored Casey Wissmiller. 

The Big Blue answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning, scoring the first on an Anna Enlow single through the right side to score Katlyn Schraeder. Chloe Book crossed the plate on the same play after a Titans miscue. 

The Titans responded with three runs of their own in the top of the fifth when Jen Kuhn's bases loaded single plated two. They added another on a sacrifice fly by Wissmiller. 

The Titans held the 2-4 advantage heading into the bottom of the seventh with Millikin holding last wraps as the home team on the scoreboard. 

Katlyn Schraeder went 2-for-3 at the plate for Millikin.
