Women's Tennis Swept by North Park

On a drizzly day in Decatur, Ill., the Big Blue women's tennis team hosted the Vikings of North Park University for their opening College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin match. Millikin fell 0-7 to the Vikings in the match.

Emily Markus fell at No. 1 0-6 in her opening set before rallying to down Hanna Zethraeus 6-4 in the second set, but fell in the third set tiebreaker 7-10. Cristina Borunda put up a fight at No. 2, falling 4-6, 3-6 to Emilia Sand.

Millikin women's tennis will face a quick turnaround and match up against the other CCIW Vikings, Augustana College, at the Fairview Park Tennis Complex on Saturday, September 14.
