Match Recap: Women's Tennis | | Morgan Vogels

Women's Tennis Swept at Dorothy McClure Tournament

The Millikin women's tennis team took on Central College and Greenville University as part of the Dorothy McClure Tournament on Saturday, September 7. In the two-match tournament, the Big Blue fell in both matches, to Central 2-5 and to Greenville 1-6.

The team of Cristina Borunda and Emily Markus won their doubles match against Taylor Wyeth and Keleigh Hall 6-2, but Central secured the win at No. 2 doubles to take the doubles point. 

Markus won her singles match 6-3, 6-1 over Emily Blom at No. 1, then Borunda took her singles match over Hall 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) to secure two points for the Big Blue against Central.

Against Greenville, Markus was the lone winner in twin 6-2 sets over Irlanda Oliver at No. 1. 

The Big Blue women's tennis team will be back in action on Wednesday, September 11 against Quincy University.
