Millikin Women’s Basketball Drops Road Contest

The Millikin women's basketball team had its two game winning streak snapped with a 58-48 loss at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois on January 15.
 
Augustana led the entire game after pulling away in the first quarter with a 20-12 advantage. Millikin played the Vikings even in the second quarter with both teams only managing to put nine points each on the board. Augustana led 29-21 at halftime. The third period was another low scoring game with the Vikings out scoring Millikin 10-8. Each team scored 19 points in the fourth quarter.
 
Millikin cold shooting woes returned with the Big Blue making only 18-64 (28 percent). Augustana shot 23-58 (40 percent) from the field and out rebounded Millikin 46-38.
 
Matayia Tellis led Millikin with 14 points and seven rebounds. Bella Dudley added 10 points.
 
Cali Papez led Augustana with 21 points.
