Swimming Competes at North Central Invite

The Millikin swim teams traveled to Naperville, Ill. on Saturday, January 25 after a short turnaround from their dual meet Friday against Monmouth to compete in the North Central Invite against three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin squads: North Central, Augustana, and Wheaton. The Big Blue placed fourth in the women's competition scoring 86 points, and the men tied for third with 99. Augustana led the final standings for both the men and women.

The Big Blue's combination squad of Dawsen Loafman, Aaron Amaya, Msanaa Bosland, and Aly Barnes placed third in the mixed 200 yard medley relay in a time of 1:45.21.

Brenna Pacheco was the fourth place finisher in the women's 200 yard freestyle, swimming a 2:12.89. In the men's race, Bosland was fourth in 1:55.18.

Erin Powell placed second in the women's 100 yard freestyle, posting a time of 58.96.

Millikin will be back in action on Saturday, February 8 when they meet Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. for their final dual meet of the season before the CCIW Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. from February 19-22.
