The Millikin University Women's Soccer team fell 2–0 to Carroll University on Saturday afternoon at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
The Pioneers opened the scoring in the first half after an unfortunate own goal gave them a 1–0 advantage. Despite the setback, the Big Blue continued to battle, creating several quality chances throughout the match.
Both teams registered eight shots on goal, with Millikin goalkeeper Madalyn Everly turning in a strong performance with five saves to keep the Big Blue within reach. Carroll added a second goal to secure the win.
Millikin will look to bounce back on Wednesday, October 15, when they travel to face North Central College at 7 p.m.
