The Millikin men's basketball team made the most of a schedule adjustment on Sunday afternoon, defeating Webster University 85–77. The Big Blue improved to 6–1 on the season with the road win at Grant Gym in Webster Groves, Mo.

Millikin opened the game with a dominant first half, racing ahead to a 49–32 lead behind efficient shooting and a balanced offensive attack. The Big Blue knocked down 19 field goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Webster made a late push in the second half, but Millikin maintained control through strong guard play and timely scoring, finishing the afternoon shooting 53.2% from the field and 11-for-19 from three-point range.

Nate Straughter led the Big Blue with 20 points, hitting four threes while adding three assists. Lane Thomann delivered a 15-point performance to go with nine rebounds.

Ian Winkler filled the stat sheet with 12 points, seven assists, and two steals, while Tionne Spates added nine points and six rebounds. McGrady Noyes turned in a standout effort as well, with 11 rebounds and 4 points.

As a team, the Big Blue scored 20 points off Webster turnovers, while outrebounding the Gorloks 35–32.

With the win, Millikin moves to 6–1 overall and continues building momentum into early December. The Big Blue return home for their next matchup on December 3, when they host North Central.
