The Millikin men's basketball team dropped a tough road contest on Saturday, falling 78–65 to North Park at Carlson Gymnasium in Chicago. The loss moves the Big Blue to 7–2 (1–1 CCIW) on the season.
Millikin kept the game close early, but North Park seized control in the second half. Lane Thomann led Millikin with 18 points with 13 rebounds. Ian Winkler added 16 points, and Nate Straughter chipped in 9 points.
The Big Blue shot 40.6% from the field and 50% from the free throw. Millikin did win the battle of second-chance points (20–15) and scored 38 points in the paint.
With the result, Millikin stands 7–2 overall. Millikin returns to action next weekend when they host Augustana on Saturday, Dec. 13.
