The Millikin men's basketball team hit the road for the final time in the 2024-25 regular season on Saturday, February 15 in Bloomington, Ill. for a matchup with nationally ranked Illinois Wesleyan. The Big Blue fell in a 60-96 contest.
In his first game back from injury, DeMarcus Bond was the leading scorer with 11 points. Nate Straughter added nine and JT Welch pitched in eight.
Illinois Wesleyan shot 58.3% from the field while the Big Blue shot 31.3%.
The Titans were led by Nick Roper with 23 points, and Mason Funk and Marko Anderson each added 15 apiece.
Millikin went into the halftime break with a 24-44 deficit and were unable to overcome the No. 13 ranked Titans in the second half.
The Big Blue head into their final matchup of the season at the Griswold Center against Carthage College on Saturday, February 22 with a 5-10 record in CCIW play.
