Millikin Baseball Loses at Spalding University

The Millikin baseball team dropped the opener of the Derby City Classic falling to the host Spalding University 13-2 (7 innings) on February 28 in Louisville, Kentucky.
 
Spalding took control early scoring five runs in the first and six in the second.
Ethan Tutle had three hits for Spalding including a double and a triple. Evan Fisher added three hits. Whit Callahan had a home run and drove in four runs.
 
Millikin was limited to four hits with Andy Niebrugge getting a run scoring single for the Big Blue.
 
Millikin is now 3-2 while Spalding goes to 2-2. The Big Blue will face Ohio Wesleyan and Case Western Reserve on Saturday.
