Millikin Track Has Record Setting Day

The Millikin men's and women's indoor track team set four new school records at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Invite in Indianapolis, Indiana on Feb. 8.

The meet featured teams from across the Midwest at all levels of competition.

In the men's events, Millikin's Kyle Hensley finished second in the Pole Vault at 5.00 meters (16-4.75).

Millikin was third in the 4x400 Relay in 3:18.54 with Dayton Lasack, Colin Griffin, Emmett Emmons and Awstace Grauer running legs. The time was second on the Millikin Indoor Track Top 10 Performance List.

Ibrahim Diakite finished fourth in the 60 Meters in 7.00 seconds. His prelim time of 6.98 seconds tied him for fifth fastest in school history. Diakite turned in Millikin's second fastest 400 Mets in 50.07 seconds.

Emmanuel Nwatu finished fourth in the 60 Meter Hurdles in 8.52 seconds.

Lasack finished fifth in the 400 Meters in a school record time of 49.15 seconds.

Bradyn Olmstead was sixth in the 3000 Meters setting a new school record in 8:37.48.

Hunter Danberry was seventh in the Weight Throw in 15.17 meters (49-9.25).

Cole Pemble finished eighth in the Long Jump at 6.52 meters (21-4.75).

In the women's events, Millikin first year athlete De'Andranay Chism won the 200 Meters in 24.29 seconds breaking her own school record. She was fifth in the 60 Meters in 7.70 seconds.

Hannah Sago finished tied for eighth in the High Jump at 1.56 meters (5-1.25).
