CCIW Track Recap

The Millikin men's and women's team wrapped up competition in the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Track and Field Championships held on Feb. 28-March 1 at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. The Big Blue men finished in fourth place with the women coming in ninth.
 
Athletes were vying for a top eight finish to earn All-Conference honors.
 
On Saturday, Emmanuel Nwatu was second in the 55 Meter Hurdles in 7.73 seconds, which was second fastest in school history.
 
Freshman Ibrahim Diakite was second in the 55 meters in 6.39 seconds.
 
Millikin had two runners earn All-Conference honors in the 400 Meters with Dayton Lasack finishing in second at 50.11 seconds and Emmett Emmons sixth at 50.87 seconds.
 
The Big Blue had three earn All-Conference in the 200 Meters with Diakite finishing in third with 22.25 seconds. Emmett Emmons was fifth at 22.54 and Colin Griffin was eighth 22.72.
 
Jack Pearce finished in fifth in the Heptathlon with 3,535 points.
 
Christian Skaggs finished in sixth place in the 800 Meters in 1:58.46 with Reece Butcher finishing in seventh 1:58.7.
 
Bradyn Olmstead was seventh in the 3000 Meters in 8:39.95.
 
Millikin was second in the 4x400 Relay in 3:20.57 with Diakite, Griffin, Emmons and Lasack running legs.
 
In the women's events, first year competitor De'Andranay Chism finished in third in the 200 Meters in 24.74 and was fourth in the 400 Meters in 56.98 seconds breaking her own school record.
 
Brookynn Sweikar finished in third in the 800 Meters in 2:21.51
 
Alexis White and Hannah Sago tied for sixth in the High Jump at 1.5 meters (4-11).
 
Katie Janvrin was seventh in the Triple Jump 10.79 meters  
 
On Friday, defending NCAA Division III National Champion sophomore Kyle Hensley won the 2025 CCIW Indoor Track Pole Vault Championship breaking his own school record with a vault of 5.20 meters (17-0.75).
 
Olmstead earned All-Conference honors with a second place finish in the 5000 Meters in a school record time of 14:59.82.
 
In the women's competition, Zena Roberts earned All-Conference honors in the Long Jump at 5.35 meters (17-6.75)
 
Hailey Newill finished eighth in the Pole Vault at 3.19 meters earned All-Conference recognition.
