Millikin Baseball Wins at Franklin

The Millikin baseball team picked up a 15-5 win in seven innings at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana on March 12.
 
After each team scored two runs in the first inning, the Big Blue pulled ahead with a four run second inning. Millikin then broke the game open in the middle innings scoring three in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth inning.
 
Catcher Hayden Stork led the Millikin offense with two home runs including a three-run shot in the fourth inning. Stork drove in four and scored three runs. Tyler Gade had three hits and two RBI. Sam Bushur went 2-2 with three walks driving in two and scoring two. Elliot Fulscher had two hits and and drove in two. Liam McGill had two hits and scored four runs. Andy Niebrugge had three RBI.
 
Dan Heise was awarded the win throwing two innings allowing no runs on two hits.
 
Garrett DeHart led Franklin with two hits.
 
Millikin is now 6-5 on the season. The schedule for this weekend's action at the Workman Baseball Field has been revamped with the Big Blue now hosting Cornell College in a doubleheader on Friday starting at 12 p.m.
