The Big Blue softball team took the fields at the Space Coast Complex on Friday, March 21 to wrap up the 2025 Space Coast Games in Melbourne, Fla. They completed their final day, leaving the sunshine on a positive note with a 2-0 Friday record.

In game one against St. Norbert College, the Big Blue were on the board first when Anna Enlow hit an RBI groundout to score Charley Condill. St. Norbert evened the score in the top of the second on a Morgan Hansel RBI single through the right side.

The Big Blue pulled ahead again when Ann Marie Meek laid down a sacrifice bunt to score Kendallyn Davison. But, SNC had an answer with three runs of their own in the third to take a two-run lead.

In the fourth, it was Meek again with a single to right field that plated Davison. Meek later crossed the plate on a wild pitch to knot the score at 4-4. But, the Green Knights had an answer again, scoring three runs in the top of the sixth to take a 4-7 lead.

Bella Palermo stepped to the plate with two runners aboard in the bottom of the sixth, singling to center to plate Davison and the pinch runner Brianna Denault. Then, Summer Wynn's double to left center in her pinch hit appearance scored Ava Zukowski and pinch runner Abbey Matthews to take an 8-7 lead, then added on another run in the sixth when Abby Willis singled through the left side to score Condill.

In the 9-7 victory, Davison was 2-for-2 from the plate, and Palermo was 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In game two, it was all Big Blue against a Hamilton team who came into the day with an 8-0 record to start the season.

Willis started off the scoring with a bunt single that scored Zukowski in the third. Enlow delivered a sacrifice fly to plate Condill to take an early 2-0 lead. In the sixth, Enlow's triple down the right field line helped Willis cross the plate. Then, Wynn laid down a sacriice bunt to bring Enlow home. With the second triple of the inning, Meek was responsible for an RBI when Palermo crossed the plate to give MU a 5-0 advantage.

As the visitors on the scoreboard, the Big Blue left nothing to chance, tacking on five runs in the top of the seventh, starting with a wild pitch with the bases loaded to plate Condill. Davison notched a single to left field to score Enlow and Willis, then a sacrifice fly by Meek scored Davison and Wynn to bring the lead to 10-0.

Hamilton scored one run in the bottom of the inning, but Kelsey Bruno picked up the complete game victory, allowing just five hits and striking out eight.
