Millikin Baseball Wins in Walk-off Fashion

The Millikin baseball team won 3-2 over Hamline University on a walk-off base hit from Kolby Koslofski on March 8 at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur, Illinois.
 
Millikin trailed 2-1 heading to the bottom of the ninth. Danny Lack led off the inning with a single. After being sacrificed to second base, Lack scored on a fielders choice and the rounded the bag and third and came into score when the Hamline first baseman bobbled the ball.  Elliot Fulscher advanced to second on the play and scored on Koslofski's walk-off single.
 
Millikin scored its first run of the game in the sixth on an RBI single from Sam Bushur.
 
Hamline took the lead in the top of the seventh on singles from Stevie Schmitt and Ethan Smith.
 
The game was a pitcher's duel with Millikin starter Zach O'Donnell threw eight innings allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out 10. Hamline starter Han Christensen V pitched six innings allowing only three hits with six strikeouts.
 
Alec Mallinder was the winning pitcher for Millikin throwing one inning and striking out one.
 
Millikin is now 4-4 while Hamline falls to 1-5.
