Millikin Baseball Downs Panthers

The Millikin baseball team defeated Greenville University 13-8 on April 29 at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur, Illinois.
 
Millikin scored three runs in the first and three in the second to jump out to an early 6-0 lead.  Greenville answered with a five run fifth inning to make it a 6-5 game. The Big Blue answered in the bottom of the inning with two runs to go up 8-5. Millikin scored five more runs in the sixth to secure the win.
 
Tyler Gade led Millikin going 3-4 with two triples driving in four runs and scoring three.
Sam Bushur was 2-5 including a first inning two-run home run. Ty Cribbett and Hayden Stork each had two hits for Millikin.
 
Snyder Pennington drove in three runs for Greenville.
 
The game had 16 pitchers take to the mound with eight working for each team.
The win went to Gavin Houchins who pitcher two innings allowing two hits and no runs.
Griffin Neuweg threw two scoreless innings followed by Cam Ross and Andy Niebrugge each throwing one scoreless inning.
 
Millikin improve to 19-18 while Greenville falls to 13-23.
