Millikin’s Chism, Diakite and Hensley Earn All-Region Honors

DECATUR, Illinois-Millikin University track and field first year athletes De'Andranay Chism (Belleville, Belleville East H.S) and Ibrahim Diakite (Chicago, Roger Sullivan H.S.) along with sophomore Kyle Hensley (Mt. Zion, H.S.) received All Region honors for the Midwest Region for 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season and announced on today.
 
Top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors.
 
All three Millikin athletes qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships being held May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio.
 
Chism was All-Region in the 100 and 200 Meters. She qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 the fourth fastest time in the country at 23.78 seconds.
The 200 Prelims will be on Thursday at 5:55 p.m.
 
Diakite earned All-Region and qualified for the NCAA Meet in the Men's 200 Meters in a school record of 20.94 seconds. He will compete in the prelims on Thursday at 5:40 p.m.
 
Hensley earned All-Region after turning in the best mark in the country at 5.18 meters (17-0). Hensley will compete at the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday at 11 a.m.
