Millikin faced Washington University on Saturday and fell 3–1 after WashU built an early lead.
The Bears struck first with two runs in the first inning and added another in the second to take control of the game.
The Big Blue answered in the fourth inning when
Gage Reynolds lined a single down the right field line, driving in
Easton Steck to cut the deficit to 3–1. That would be Millikin's lone run of the contest.
Matthew Brummer took the loss on the mound, pitching five innings while allowing four hits and striking out four.
