DECATUR, Ill. — The Millikin men's basketball team dropped a CCIW home contest on Wednesday night, falling 99–63 at the Griswold P.E. Center. The loss moves the Big Blue to 13–8 overall and 5–7 in conference play.

The visitors built momentum early, taking a 55–31 lead into halftime and maintaining control throughout the second half. Millikin continued to compete after the break, generating offense and defensive stops in stretches, but was unable to close the gap.

Nate Straughter led all Millikin scorers with 28 points, accounting for a large portion of the Big Blue offense. Lane Thomann pulled down six rebounds, and McGrady Noyes contributed valuable minutes off the bench.

Millikin shot 39.0% from the field and 31.8% from three-point range, while converting 10-of-14 free-throw attempts. The Big Blue won the battle in second-chance points (13–8) and continued to battle on the glass, finishing with 32 rebounds.

The Big Blue will look to respond as they continue through the CCIW schedule later this week against Carthage.
