The Big Blue traveled to face Rose-Hulman and secured a 1–0 victory in a tightly contested matchup, highlighted by an outstanding pitching performance.
Joey Ross earned the start and delivered seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while recording seven strikeouts. Nolan Reiman entered in the eighth inning and faced two batters, surrendering one hit and one strikeout. Gavin Houchins closed out the contest, facing five batters in the final inning without allowing a hit, while adding one strikeout and no walks.
The game's lone run came in the fourth inning. Ty Cribbett drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second base on a stolen base. He then moved into scoring position on a flyout by Carder Reich. Sam Bushur came in clutch with a single through the left side, driving in Cribbett and accounting for the only run of the game.
Leyton Ivers collected two hits on the day, going 2-4. While Sam Bushur, Gage Reynolds, Mick Niebrugge, and Pete Britton collected one hit each.
Next up the Big Blue will hit the road again this weekend to travel to Iowa to face Crown College on Saturday.
