Winona, MN – Millikin University women's soccer continued the weekend with a trip from Wisconsin to Minnesota to take their 3
rd win of the season over Saint Mary's University 2-1.
Following lasts night's defeat to La-Crosse, the Big Blue were on a mission to overcome a roadblock.

Izzy Jones who placed the first goal of the game; upping the score 1-0.
Three minutes into the second half, the trailing Cardinals flipped the momentum with a goal to tie up the game with 40 minutes remaining.
Jones, already having scored early on, fired again to put the Big Blue up 2-1 with her second goal of the game and her fourth of the season. This is Jones' second game of the season scoring two goals in one regulation period.
In goal this afternoon was
Haley Fulton, who made two saves on Saint Mary's three shots on goal; keeping the Big Blue up, not allowing the Cardinals to convert.
Head coach
Ian Doherty acknowledged his team "responded well after a setback to give something positive to move forward with". The Big Blue now sit at 3-2 on the season, seeking to continue growing as a team.
Back in action Wednesday, September 16, the Big Blue travel to Monmouth College with the first whistle at 5 PM, also on the Midwest Conference Network.
