Millikin Softball Drops Twin Bill at Loras

         The Millikin softball team lost both games of the doubleheader at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa on April 14.  Loras won game one 5-3 and took the second game 5-2.
         In game one, Alyssa Visvardis was the hitting start for Millikin going 2-3 with a double and triple.  She scored all three of the Big Blue's runs in the game.  Kirsten Iversen had two RBIs and Alyssa Voegele added one run driven in.
         Megan Larson was 3-3 to lead the Duhawks.  Makaila Haase was 2-3.
         In the two, Loras jumped out to an early 4-0 advantage after one inning.  Larson led off the game with a home run for the Duhawks. 
         Trailing 5-0, the Big Blue rallied in the seventh inning scoring two runs.
         Haley Rotert went 3-3 to lead the Big Blue.  Justice Miller and Kelli Layton had RBIs for the Big Blue.
         Cate Paulsen also homered for the Duhawks.  Miranda Chapman had two hits for Loras.
         Millikin is now 12-12 and will host Carthage College in a conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. at Rotary Park in Decatur.
