Millikin Men’s Tennis Drops CCIW Third Place Match

The Millikin men's tennis team lost the third place match in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament 5-3 to Carthage College on May 6 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.
          Millikin opened the match winning two of the three double matches. Connor Sacks\Emerick Fulton won at number two doubles 9-7 and Greg Schwoeppe\Tom Emola won the number three doubles contest 8-6.
          Carthage won four of the five singles matches completed to pull out the 5-3 victory with the match played to decision. Schwoeppe won at number five singles for Millikin 6-0, 6-0. Schwoeppe ends the year with a singles record of 17-4.
          Millikin ends the season at 15-6. The Big Blue finished in third place in the conference in the regular season with a 5-2 record, which was Millikin's best CCIW record since 1999.
