Millikin's Saddler named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Millikin senior guard Yanni Saddler was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday following her performance for the Big Blue last week.
Saddler (Peoria Heights, Macomb H.S.), a Physical Education major, was the leading scorer in a 79-72 win at Elmhurst on Saturday. She scored a game-high 30 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and was 12-of-14 from the free throw line. Saddler also added four rebounds, four steals and three assists against the Bluejays, which was Millikin's only contest last week.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2017-18 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,100 academic all-conference recipients, 15 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 28 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
