Millikin Baseball Breaks into Regional Rankings

          The Millikin baseball team is ranked seventh in the Central Region in the NCAA Division III Baseball Regional rankings released on May 8.
          The Big Blue are 21-18 overall and finished in third place in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) with a 14-10 mark.
          Millikin qualified for the CCIW Tournament for the first time since 1990 and is scheduled to face North Park University on May 9 in first round action.
          Millikin is one of three CCIW teams ranked in the Central Region. North Central College (28-11) is ranked fifth and Augustana College (26-13-1) is ranked sixth.
          The regional rankings are one of the criteria used to select at-large team for the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Division III Tournament field will be announced on May 13. The winner of the CCIW Tournament receives an automatic berth into the tournament.
