Millikin’s Knudsen Named CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Illinois—Millikin sophomore guard Elyce Knudsen was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

An accounting major from Philo, Illinois, Knudsen helped lead the Big Blue to a 3-0 start to the season by averaging 23.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 60% (27-45) from the field and 64.3% (9-14) on three-point attempts. Knudsen opened the season with a 27-point, seven-rebound performance in a win over Westminster (Mo.) that saw the sophomore hit five three-pointers. She barely missed a triple-double with 24 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a win over Greenville. Knudsen finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a win over Beloit.
