Millikin Women’s Track First at Big Blue Open

The Millikin women's outdoor track and field team finished first at its own Big Blue Open held on April 23 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur. The Millikin men finished in third place.

Millikin senior Mackenzie Dixon won the 1500 Meters in 4:51.31, which was fourth fastest all-time at Millikin. Quincy Collings finished in fourth place in the event at 4:57.10. Alyssa Ruiz was seventh at 5:00.20 and Tessa Wiegand was eighth at 5:05.60.

Hailey O'Malley won the 3000 Meter Steeplechase in 12:33.91, which was the seventh fastest time in school history.

Anna Gambol won the Women's Javelin with a throw of 33.62 meters improving her second place ranking on the Millikin Outdoor Track Top 10 Performance list. Katherine Batcheller was third at 31.73 meters and Millikin's Katie Abell was sixth at 27.92 meters. Gambol finished in sixth place in the Hammer at 38.84 meters.

Hailey Wimberly finished second in the 400 Meters in 58.85 seconds. Brianna Niebrugge was third at 1:00.52 and Eryn Renison was fifth at 1:03.51.

Alyssa Vignos finished second in the 100 Meter Hurdles in 15.60 seconds. Vignos was also second in the 400 Meter Hurdles in 1:07.75. Millikin's Julia Seaman was fifth at 1:24.84. Seaman finished fifth in the High Jump at 1.28 meters.

Katie Risner finished in second place in the 800 Meters in 2:24.74.

Niebrugge finished third in the Long Jump at 5.12 meters. Zena Roberts was fourth at 5.06 meters and Anne Longman at 4.62 meters.

Adriyanna Patterson finished in second in the Hammer Throw at 45.56 meters and she was third in the Discus with a toss of 37.72 meters.

Stephanie Oliver finished in fourth place in the Hammer in 42.81 meters. Oliver finished in seventh in the Discus at 34.88 meters. She was seventh in the Shot Put at 10.90 meters.

Roberts was fifth in the 100 Meters in 13.24 seconds. Danie Kelso finished in eighth in 13.41 seconds.

Millikin's MacKenzie Moyer was sixth in the 100 Meter Hurdles in 17.64 seconds and Anne Longman was seventh at 18:52 seconds.

The Big Blue won the 4x400 Relay in 4:00.35 with Renison, Dixon, Niebrugge and Wimberly running legs. The time ranks fourth all-time in Millikin history.

Millikin was second in the 4x100 Relay in 51.08 seconds with Alexus Coleman, Kelso, Vignos and Renison running legs.

In the men's competition, Big Blue junior Ben Kuxmann won the 1500 Meters in 3:57.23, which improved this third place standing on the all-time Millikin Outdoor Track performance list. Austin Bridgman finished in third in 4:06.84, Gabe Bush was fifth in 4:11.03 and Austin Bicknell was eighth at 4:16.16.

Freshman Jake Shumaker won the 800 Meters in 1:54.82. Bridgman was fourth in 1:59.79.

Millikin took three of the top five spots in the Men's Javelin led by Roy Baggio who won the event with a throw of 47.46 meters. Dalton Spencer finished in fourth at 45.24 meters and Joey Davies was fifth at 45.21 meters.

Millikin won the 4x400 Relay in 3:22.96 with Jackson Allen, Shumaker, Kuxmann and Davies running legs.

Kristian Boado finished second in the Hammer with a throw of 50.55 meters (165-10), which improved his second place ranking on the Millikin Outdoor Track Performance List.

Allen finished in third place in the 100 Meters in 11.08 seconds and was third in the 200 Meters in 22.42 seconds.

Davies was third in the Long Jump at 6.29 meters. Nick Fornoff was fifth at 6.25 meters. Davies finished tied for sixth in the Pole Vault at 3.65 meters.

Serron Pettis tied for third in the High Jump at 1.93 meters.

Kristian Boado was fifth in the Discus at 40.34 meters.

Spencer was sixth in the Men's 110 Hurdles in 16.45 seconds.

Max Rogers finished in sixth place in the Triple Jump at 12.74 meters.
