Millikin Track Sets Three School Records In Dual Meet

The Millikin University men's and women's track and field team completed its Outdoor regular season hosting a dual meet with Washington University-St. Louis on April 30 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur. The Bears won the men's competition 393-147 and took the women's competition 395-208.
 
In the men's competition, Big Blue junior Ben Kuxmann won the 800 Meters in 1:50.12 setting a new Millikin school record.  Pending other results around the country, Kuxmann's time is currently the second fastest in NCAA DIII this season.
 
Max Rogers won the Triple Jump in 13.99 meters (45-10.75), which was the fourth best jump in school history.
 
Jackson Allen won the 200 Meters in 22.42 seconds.
 
Kristian Boado won the Hammer in 48.16 meters.
 
Marshun Hart won the Long Jump with a jump of 6.83 meters.
 
Millikin set two new school records in the women's competition.  Senior Mackenzie Dixon won the 400 Meters in a school record time of 56.04 seconds. Dixon's time is among the top 10 in NCAA Division III this season.  Dixon entered tonight with the ninth fastest time in the nation in the 800 Meters at 2:13.50.
 
Millikin fielded a 4x800 Relay Team that set a new Millikin record in the event at 9:52.94 with Katie Risner, Tessa Wiegand, Claire Weers and Dixon running legs.
 
Other Millikin event winners included:
Adriyanna Patterson won the Discus with a toss of 39.88 meters (130-10), which was fourth longest in school history.
 
Stephanie Oliver won the Women's Hammer in 44.32 meters
 
Anna Gambol won the Javelin in 33.39 meters.
 
Brianna Niebrugge won the Long Jump in 5:32 meters.
