Millikin Has Record Breaking Race at Bradley

The Millikin men's and women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Bradley University Pink Race held on October 14 at the Newman Golf Course in Peoria.

Millikin competed in the White Race that featured runners from all levels of institutions ranging from NCAA Division I programs to community colleges.
The Millikin men were the top finishing NCAA Division III team in the White Race finishing in fifth place overall. Big Blue senior Dane Alexander broke his own school record covering the 8K course in 25:25.3 finishing in eighth place. Bradyn Olmstead turned in Millikin second all-time fastest time in 25:30.2 coming home in 11th place. Austin Bridgman finished in 17th place in 25:41.1, which was the sixth best 8K in school history.

Grand Valley State finished first in the Men's White Race with Bradley coming in second. The event features 18 teams and 178 runners.

The Millikin women were the top finishing NCAA Division III program in the Women's White race finishing in eighth place. Grand Valley State finished in first in the event comprised of 22 teams and 190 runners.

Alyssa Ruiz was Millikin's top finisher in 35th place in 23:25.2, which was the 10th fastest 6K in Big Blue history. Quincy Collings was 36th in 23:26.7. Freshman Emma Mallory finished in 45th in 23:41.1, which was Millikin's 13th all-time fastest time in the 6K.
