College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Soccer Teams Released

DECATUR, Illinois—Millikin University had four student-athletes earn spots on the 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Millikin junior Collin Budd (Arcola, H.S.), a Philosophy major, and senior Simen Nodland (Moss, Norway), a Political Science major, were honored on the men's team.

Two players from the Millikin women's soccer team were honored as well. Junior Sophie Dorgan (Bloomington, University H.S.), a Biology (Pre-Med) major, and junior Bailee Blecker (Loves Park, Harlem H.S), an Elementary Education major, were recognized for their performance on and off the field.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
