Big Blue Men Eighth at McKendree Meet

A group of Millikin track and field athletes competing in the 2022 Bearcat Classic hosted by McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois on April 9. The Millikin women finished in fifth while the Big Blue men were eighth.

Millikin's top finisher in the women's events was Eryn Renison who finished in second in the 400 Meter Hurdles in 1:06.19.

Lovenya Perry finished in third place in the 400 meters in 1:00.04. Hailey Wimberly was sixth at 1:03.21.

Itzel Garcia was third in the 200 Meters in 25.94 seconds and she finished in fourth place in the Long Jump at 4.89 meters.

Katie Abell was a point scorer for the Big Blue in three throwing events. She finished fourth in the Hammer with a throw of 43.08 meters. She was sixth in the Discus at 33.70 meters and sixth in the Shot Put at 11.22 meters.

In the men's competition, Brandt Williamson finished second in the Shot Put at 14.15 meters and was fifth in the Discus at 38.46 meters.

Austin Bridgman finished third in the 1500 Meters in 3:57.98 seconds, which was the fourth best time in the event in school history.

Caleb Bleich was fourth in the Long Jump at 6.22 meters and he finished in fifth in the 200 Meters in 22.80 seconds.
