Millikin Baseball in Division III Regional Rankings

DECATUR, Illinois—The Millikin baseball team remains ranked in the second NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released by the NCAA on May 4.

The second rankings are based on games through May 1 when Millikin had a 22-12 overall record, which places the Big Blue sixth in Region VIII. The initial rankings released last week listed teams in alphabetical order. Webster (30-5) is ranked number one in the region. Millikin will play the Gorlocks on May 5 in a non-conference doubleheader in St. Louis.

The Regional rankings are key components used by the NCAA to selection at-large team for the NCAA Division III Baseball Field.

After splitting a pair of games at Carthage on May 2, Millikin is now 23-13 on the season with four regular season games remaining. After the twin bill at Webster, Millikin will play its final home action of the regular season in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin doubleheader against Elmhurst University on Saturday, May 7 starting at 1 p.m. The Big Blue have locked up a spot in the CCIW Tournament, which will be played next week at North Central College in Naperville.
