The Big Blue men's soccer team downed Augustana to pick up a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin victory on Saturday, October 7 in Decatur, Ill. In the 6-0 contest, Millikin took a 4-0 lead at the break and never looked back. 

Olav Kaldahl netted the first goal in the lower right corner on an assist by Tobias Øverbye in the eighth minute. In the 12th minute, Nacho Diaz connected on a penalty kick to give the Big Blue a 2-0 advantage. Johannes Smaaberg was the third Big Blue player to record a goal, assisted by Alexander Wozniak. The final goal of the first half came on a corner kick, with Landon Welch lining up from the left corner and finding the lower right half of the net to put MU up 4-0 at the break.

In the second half, Øverbye was credited with his first goal, with a role reversal from the first goal as Kaldahl notched the assist in the 66th minute score. Smaaberg then added his second goal of the match, this time assisted by Kaldahl in the 78th minute.

The Big Blue will return to Frank M. Lindsay Field for a CCIW matchup against Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 11 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM.
