Millikin Softball Picked to Win Third Straight CCIW Title

DECATUR, ILL. – Just one day after appearing in the NFCA preseason national rankings, Millikin is the coaches' vote to win the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) softball race in 2023. Millikin, coming off back-to-back regular-season conference championships, garnered seven first-place votes in the poll.

The Big Blue boast a long list of returners including a pitching staff of Aly Armstrong, Addison Sargent, and Charly Warlow, infielders Lex Tennison, Rylee Blake, and Kaylee Goluch, and outfielders Kendallyn Davison and Lanie Chizmark. Building on the successes of last season, Millikin will begin the 2023 season with four matchups at the Fontbonne Tournament in St. Louis, Mo., before heading to Virginia for the Cross Bay Bash and Florida for the Spring Games, and will kick off the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin campaign against North Central College at the Workman Family Softball Field on Saturday, April 1.
