Shumaker Headed to NCAA Outdoor Championsihps

Millikin University junior Jake Shumaker is in the field for the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships as the field of participants was announced on May 19.

Shumaker will compete in the Men's 800 Meters based off of the time he ran this past yesterday at the Augustana Last Chance Meet. Shumaker goes into the meet as the 16th entry with a time of 1:50.18.

This is Shumaker's third appearance at a national championships and his second appearance at the outdoor championships. He is coming off of a fifth-place finish at the 2023 Indoor Championships, earning All-American honors. Shumaker will look to add to the trophy case in Rochester, New York with the prelim taking place on Friday, May 26 with the final on Saturday, May 27.
