Millikin Fifth at Fighting Bee Invite

The Millikin men's and women's team combined to set three school records at the Fighting Bee Invite hosted by St. Ambrose University on January 27 in Davenport, Iowa. The Big Blue men finished in second place out of 14 teams with the Millikin women finishing fifth out of 13 teams.

In the men's competition, Millikin freshman Reece Butcher won the 800 Meters in 2:01.06.

Freshman Kyle Hensley won the Pole Vault at 4.80 meters (15-9.00) tying his own school record.

Millikin won the Men's 4x400 Relay in 3:21.23 with Dayton Lasack, Emmett Emmons, Colin Griffin and Jake Shumaker turning in Millikin's second all-time fastest performance.

Shumaker finished in second in the 600 Meters 1:20.03, which is a school record.

Lasack finished second in the 400 Meters in 50.56 seconds.

In the women's competition, Katie Janvrin was second in the Triple Jump in 10.59 meters (34-9).

Audrey Remole was second in the High Jump at 1.55 meters (5-1), which tied her for the third best jump in school history.

Hailey Newill finished in third in the Pole Vault in 3.17 meters.
