Men's Tennis Sweeps SWIC

The men's tennis team earned a 6-0 sweep over Southwestern Illinois College on Saturday, March 2nd. The men's team improves to 1-1 on the season. 

To earn the first win of the day, Cole Phillips and Theodor Wolf teamed up at No. 1 doubles to earn the 8-1 victory. At No. 2 doubles, the freshman duo of Matthew Kordesh and Esteban Durand earned a 8-6 win to complete the doubles sweep for the Big Blue. 

Kordesh continued to come out on top by taking down his opponent 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Durand joined the win streak by earning a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. Wolf was victorious with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles. Earning the final point for the Big Blue, Phillips closed out the match with a win at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-3. 

The men's team will be traveling to St. Louis Missouri to take on Principia College on March 26th, with first serves starting at 5:00 PM.
