Men's Golf Fourth at Carthage Fall Classic

The Big Blue men's golf team traveled to Lake Geneva, Wis. for the Carthage Fall Classic on September 9-10. The two-day tournament saw Big Blue place fourth, shooting a round one 303 and a round two 305 to total 608.

Aurora took first with a team score of 580, followed by Carthage in second with a two-day total of 598, and North Central in third after shooting a 603 as a team.

Virgile Gruny was the top individual finisher for the Big Blue, shooting a 149 overall, recording a day one 76, then a day two 73 to place 11th, tying with Nick Barry of Carthage, Luke Duffer of Lake Forest, and William Davis of Elmhurst.

Competing individually, Mateo Oneglia notched an overall score of 150, shooting a 74 and a 76 to place 15th.

Jake Krstulovich tied for 23rd after recording a two-day total of 153, with a day one 77 and a day two 76. Luke Bradley was a stroke behind, tying for 29th with a 154. Jack Bollinger shot a 155 to place 33rd.

Men's golf will be back in action on Friday, September 20 when they head to the Brighton Dale Golf Links in Kansasville, Wis. for the Midwest Region Classic.
