Strong Showing in Indy by Men's Golf

Men's golf posted a 6th place finish in the Wabash Fall Invitational on October 6-7 in Indianapolis, IN at Broadmoor Country Club. The Big Blue Men started strong with a 2-over par team score of 290 in the first round. Senior Jack Bollinger fired a 3-under 69 to lead the team followed by fellow senior Luke Bradley shooting a 1-over par 73. In the second round, Bollinger's good play continued with another stellar 3-under par 69 making 10 birdies in the 36-hole day. Bradley followed his opening round with a second round 75.

Junior Dominick Emig shot rounds of 74-78, Sophomore Trevor Biggerstaff shot an opening round of 74 but struggled in round 2 shooting a 9-over par 81. And Junior Jake Krstulovich shot rounds of 76-81. The team scores of 290-303 landed the men in 6th place after day 1. The final round on Tuesday got off to rainy start with the weather, but that didn't slow the team down. Krstulovich had the low round of the day with a stellar 4-under 68 to shoot 34 places up the leaderboard.

Biggerstaff and Bradley each shot a 2-under par 70. Emig and Bollinger finished the tournament with a 74 and 75, respectively. The team shot a final round 6-under par 282 which was tied for 2nd best score of the day in the star-studded field featuring 3 teams ranked nationally in the top 10. The team score of 6-under par is tied for 6th all time in team low round. Millikin's top finisher was Bollinger who tied for 8th individually. His 3-under par total in the 54-hole tournament places him 2nd all-time in Individual Low Round for 54-holes.

Millikin finishes the fall season at the Golfweek October Classic tournament held at Sandestin Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, FL on October 12-14.
