Millikin Track Competes at Snowbird Open

The Millikin men's and women's Indoor Track and Field Team competed at the Illinois College Snowbird Open on January 25 in Jacksonville, Illinois. No team scores were kept at the event.

Millikin's Emmanuel Nwatu won the 60 Meter Hurdles in a school record time of 8.47 seconds.

The Big Blue won the Men's 4x400 Relay with Brandon Mattsey, Aaron Mohr, Matt Gowen and Josh Holloway turning in a time of 3:24.42.

Bradyn Olmstead was second in the 3000 Meters in 8:44.3, which is second fastest in school history.

Nolan Bates was second in the 800 Meters in 1:57.25.

Kyle Hensley was second in the Pole Vault at 4.85 meters.

Joey McGinn was third in the 1 Mile Run in 4:27.13

In the women's competition, De'Andranay Chism won the 200 Meters in 24.90 seconds and finished in second in the 60 Meters in 7.73 seconds.

Zena Roberts was second in the Long Jump at 5.27 meters (17-3.50).

Brooklynn Sweikar was second in the 800 Meters in 2:23.43.

Millikin won the Women's 4x400 Relay in 4:15.07 with Alayna Schultz, Sweikar, Teyla Wendt and Chism running legs.

Haylee Yelle finished in third place in the Pole Vault with a jump of 3.35 meters (10-11.75), which ranks second best in Millikin Indoor Track history.
