Men's Tennis Picks up Win at Franklin

Box Score The Big Blue men's tennis team traveled to Franklin, Ind. on Friday, February 28 for a non-conference matchup against the Grizzlies of Franklin College. Millikin picked up a win, their second of the young spring 2025 season, in a 5-2 decision.

In doubles, the team of Clayton Maack and Matthew Kordesh defeated Dustin Garrison and Clark Hersam of Franklin at No. 1, 6-3. Theodor Wolf and Esteban Durand teamed up for the second victory to claim the doubles point, besting Lucas Densford and Ezra Schwier 6-3 at No. 2.

On the singles side, Wolf was the winner at No. 1, defeating Nathan Jarboe 6-3, 6-2. Maack downed Marcus Cox at No. 2 6-1, 6-0 to claim another victory for the Big Blue. Then, it was Kordesh winning at No. 3 in a 6-3, 6-4 match. Durand rallied in the No. 4 singles match after falling 0-6 in the opening set to win the second set 6-4, then was the victor in the tiebreaking set 10-3.

With their match against Hanover originally scheduled for Saturday, March 1 canceled due to weather, men's tennis will be back in action with their first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin matchup of the season against Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Ill. on Saturday, March 8.
