Hensley Wins Pole Vault on Record Setting Day 1 of CCIW Championships

The Millikin men's and women's track team had a record setting day on the first day of the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Track and Field Championships being held Feb. 28-March 1 at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis.
 
On Friday, defending NCAA Division III National Champion sophomore Kyle Hensley won the 2025 CCIW Indoor Track Pole Vault Championship breaking his own school record with a vault of 5.20 meters (17-0.75).
 
Graduate student Bradyn Olmstead earned All-Conference honors with a second place finish in the 5000 Meters in a school record time of 14:59.82.
 
Millikin's Emmanuel Nwatu and Dayton Lasack advanced to the finals of the 55 Meter Hurdles. Nwatu's time of 7.95 was third fastest in school history and Lasack's 8.11 seconds was fourth quickest.
 
Freshman Ibrahim Diakite advanced to the finals of the 55 Meters with the second fastest prelim time of 6.38 seconds, which is second fastest in school history.
 
In the women's competition, DeAndranay Chism qualified for the finals of the 55 Meter Dash with a prelim time of 7.15 a new Millikin school record.
 
Zena Roberts earned All-Conference honors in the Long Jump at 5.35 meters (17-6.75)
 
Hailey Newill finished eighth in the Pole Vault at 3.19 meters earned All-Conference recognition.
