Millikin Track Competes at Greenville Select

The Millikin men's and women's track and field team competed at the Greenville University Select Meet on April 12 in Greenville, Illinois.

Millikin won two events in the men's competition. Freshman Ibrahim Diakite won the 100 Meters in 10.66 seconds and the 200 Meters in 21.44 seconds, which was the second fastest time in school history.

Hunter Danberry won the Discus with a toss of 39.76 (130-6) and he was fourth in the Hammer throw at 46.69 meters (153-2). Robbie Vavrik was fifth at 43.49 meters.

Kyle Hensley was third in the Pole Vault at 5.05 meters.

Brandon Mattsey was fourth in the 1500 Meters in 4:02.64.

In the women's events, De'Andranay Chism won the 200 Meters in a school record time of 24.46 seconds. Chism finished third in the 100 Meters in 12.15 seconds.

Emma Mallory finished in second place in the 5000 Meters in 18:57.08.

Nikkel Johnson finished in fourth in the Discus with a throw of 37.23 meters (122-2).

Hannah Sago was fifth in the High Jump at 1.58 meters.
