Men's Golf Competes at IWU Spring Invitational

The Millikin men's golf team traveled to Bloomington, Ill. for the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Invite, held at Ironwood Golf Course and Weibring Golf Course, with each team playing one round at each course across the two day tournament, held Friday, April 4 through Saturday, April 5.

In the large 38-team field, the Big Blue had two squads playing, with one team tying for 18th after shooting a team total 608, and the other tying for 24th with a team total of 613.

One of Illinois Wesleyan's teams placed first, shooting a two-day total of 575. Aurora was second, shooting a total of 582, and Saint John's University rounded out the top three with a total of 583.

Jack Bollinger and Gavin Greenwalt were the top individual finishers, shooting a 151 to tie for 51st in the standings. Bollinger shot a round one 76, following up with a day two 75, and Greenwalt posted a day one 74 and a 77 on day two. Luke Bradley and Mateo Oneglia tied for 66th, shooting a 152. Jake Krstulovich shot a 153 across the two day tournament.

The Big Blue will travel to Memphis, Tenn. on Monday, April 14 to compete in the Cochran Collegiate Classic at the Colonial Country Club, hosted by Rhodes College.
