Millikin Track Open 2025 CCIW Outdoor Championships

The Millikin men's and women's track and field team claimed one conference title, had two All-Conference performance and had several athletes advanced to finals in their event on the first day of the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Outdoor Track and Field Championships being held May 2-3 at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

On Friday, Millikin sophomore Kyle Hensley won his fourth CCIW Championship in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.90 meters (16-0.75).

Graduate student Bradyn Olmstead earned All-Conference by finishing third in the 10,000 Meters in a school record time of 30:56.43.

Haylee Yelle earned All-Conference honors in the Women's Pole Vault tying for third place at 3.38 meters (11-1).

Several Millikin athletes successfully advanced out of their prelim events moving on to Saturday's finals. In the men's events, freshman Ibrahim Diakite advanced to the finals of the 100 Meters with the second quickest time in the prelims of 10.78 seconds. He qualified for the 200 Meter finals in 21.61 seconds, which was second fastest on Friday.

Dayton Lasack qualified for the 110 Hurdle finals with a prelim time of 15.51 seconds. His 400 Meter Hurdle prelim time of 55.68 was third fastest in the prelims moving him to Saturday's finals.

Emmett Emmons qualified in the 400 Meters in 49.70 seconds. Emmons made the 200 Meter finals as well with a time of 22.46 seconds.

Reece Butcher and Christian Skaggs advanced to the 800 Meter finals with Butcher running a 1:56.28 and Skaggs turning in a time of 1:56.50.

In the women's events, De'Andranay Chism qualified in the 100 Meters in 12.07 seconds, which was third fastest in the prelims. She also advanced to Saturday's finals in the 200 Meters in 24.45 seconds ranking third quickest on the day.

Brooklynn Sweikar qualified for the 800 Meter finals in 2:20.05.
