Bushur and McGill Set New Millikin Baseball Records

DECATUR, Illinois—With the conclusion of the 2025 Millikin baseball season junior Sam Bushur (Teutopolis, H.S.) and senior Liam McGill (Bloomington) have established three new Big Blue baseball records.
 
Bushur's three hits in the final two games of the season set a record for hits in a season at 68. He broke Devin Crews' record of 67 set in 2018. Bushur ended the year batting .402 with 12 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 43 RBI. Bushur earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference First Team honors this season. It is the second time in his career to be a First Team selection and his third overall All-Conference selection.
 
McGill finished is career with 96 stolen bases. McGill has held the school record since 2023 when he stole a record 43 bases in a season. McGill tied the Millikin record for runs scored in a career at 159. He shares the record with Matt Eichorn who played from 2000-2003. McGill was named to the CCIW All-Conference First Team. It was his second All-Conference selection during his career. McGill is a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree.
 
In 2025, Millikin broke the team record for triples in a season with 18 breaking the old record of 17 set in 2022.
