Men's Golf 3-peats in Record Setting Fashion

Millikin men's golf won the Highland Classic hosted by Augustana College for a third year in a row. The tournament was held at Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island, IL. In the first round, the Big Blue shot a school record for Team Low Round of 19-under par (269). Sophomore Trevor Biggerstaff led the charge with a tournament record, school record, and course record 9-under par, 63, and leading the golf tournament over teammate, senior Luke Bradley who shot a bogey free round of 6-under par, 66, which is tied for 3rd all-time for Individual Low Round. Senior Jack Bollinger shot a bogey free round of 4-under par 68 which matches his career low and is tied for 14th all-time. Rounding out Millikin's first team were Juniors Dominick Emig and Jake Krstulovich who shot even-par rounds of 72. 

Millikin had a 15-shot lead over St. Ambrose University after round 1. The Big Blue stretched that lead further in the final round shooting 11-under par (277) to finish 30-under par for the tournament to win by 31 shots. The mark of 30-under par is the record for Team Low Round for 36-holes. The final round score of 277 sits 3rd all-time for Team Low Round for 18 holes. Biggerstaff fought hard in the final round to shoot an even par 72 finishing 9-under overall to win by one stroke of teammates Jack Bollinger and Luke Bradley who both finished in a tie for 2nd at 8-under par total (136). Biggerstaff sets school record for Individual Low Round for 36-holes at 9-under, 135. Bollinger and Bradley's 8-under par total of 136 sits tied for second. Krstulovich battled back in round 2 firing a 5-under 67 to finish in a tie for 5th place in the tournament. Krstulovich's 5-under par ties him for 5th all-time in Individual Low Round for 18 holes and tied for 6th all-time in Individual Low Round for 36 holes.
