The Millikin University women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought match on the road Wednesday evening, falling 2-0 to Webster University.

Millikin finished the match with 24 total shots, including 16 in the second half alone, and matched Webster with 8 shots on goal. 

The Big Blue battled throughout the game but Webster managed to find the breakthrough with a first-half goal. Millikin continued to press forward in the second half, creating opportunities and testing the Webster keeper, but the hosts added a second goal late to seal the result.

Next up The Big Blue will face The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse home on Saturday at noon.
