Men's Golf Ties for Fifth at Firebirds Fall Classic

Millikin Men's Golf finished tied for 5th place in the Firebirds Fall Classic hosted by Carthage College September 8-9, 2025.

The first round was played at Ives Grove Golf Links in Sturtevant, Wis. on Monday, September 8th. The Big Blue were on fire to start the round with the team 2-under par at one point led by Sophomore Trevor Biggerstaff who shot a 5-under par 31 on his front 9. The team struggled down the closing stretch to finish at 299 (+11) which was good for 6th place overall. Biggerstaff finished the day even par (72), followed closely by teammate Senior Jack Bollinger who shot a 1-over par 73.

The final round was played at the Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, WI on Tuesday, September 9th. The team fought hard to shoot a 9-over par 297 and moved up one place to finish tied for fifth place with Hope College. Bollinger and Biggerstaff led the team to shooting 2-over par for the tournament to finish tied for 14th place individually. Senior Luke Bradley shot rounds of 74-75 making it inside the top 30 in the 19-team, 108-player field. After shooting 80 in the opening round, Juniors Dominick Emig and Jake Krstulovich improved to shoot 76 and 75, respectively.

Millikin Men's Golf travels to Kansasville, WI next for the Midwest Region Classic on September 19-20.
